GLIMMERGLASS NAMES NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO
Industry Veteran Robert Lundy to Lead Growth
Hayward, CA. May 10, 2005 – Glimmerglass, a pioneer
of automated fiber management, announced that veteran communications industry
CEO Robert Lundy has become its new President and Chief Executive Officer,
effective immediately. He will also serve as a member of the Glimmerglass
Board of Directors.
Mr. Lundy has significant CEO experience in leading venture-back communications
technology companies through stages of revenue growth. Previously, Mr.
Lundy successfully built Wavtrace, a broadband wireless access company
which was later acquired by Harris Corporation. He was the Chief Executive
Officer of Opthos, Inc., an all-optical metro-network switching systems
provider. Earlier, he led Xtera, an optical transmission company, as President
and CEO. Mr. Lundy was the Director and General Manager of IBM’s
first wireless business unit that pioneered data over cellular. He also
held leadership positions at ROLM and Hewlett Packard. Mr. Lundy is a
graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds
an MSEE and an MBA from Stanford University.
