Edward Forwood: Managing Director, Loudwater Investment Partners
| Edward has had an 18 year career in managing, advising and investing in technology and other companies. Prior to that, he trained in corporate finance at Hill Samuel and Ernst & Young, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. Edward has been a director or investor representative of some 25 growth companies over the past 20 years. He was the founding chief executive of kVault Software Limited in 1999 and negotiated its key financings from inception, concluding with a sale in 2004 to a large US company for $225 million. During this period Edward was active in the City in private equity and prior to that co-lead two management buy-ins of technology and engineering companies. |
Susan A. Mason: General Partner, Aligned Partners
| Susan is a General Partner with Aligned Partners, a venture firm she co-founded to invest in highly capital efficient start-ups in the Information Technology area. Susan is focused on early stage start-ups in the cloud and mobile computing areas. Prior to co-founding Aligned Partners, Susan was with Onset Ventures for 15 years and helped raise 5 ONSET funds. She came to Onset Ventures in 1996 after holding positions in high technology engineering, marketing and business development. Susan previously led a successful consulting practice, helping Fortune 100 corporations capitalize on emerging markets and technologies. Earlier in her career, she held positions in marketing and engineering design for high-performance systems and microprocessors at Fujitsu Microelectronics, Fairchild Semiconductor and NCR Microelectronics. |
Major General Alan V. Rogers (USAF, Ret.)
| Alan is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and an active member of private company boards. Previously, he served as CEO of Command Information, Inc. at the request of The Carlyle Group, and successfully turned the company around and positioned it for sale in 2011. Earlier, he was an Executive Vice President at CACI International. Prior to CACI, he was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Federal Defense Group at American Management Systems. Alan retired from the Air Force as a Major General where his assignments included Director of Operational Plans and Interoperability on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon and Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, NATO. |
